Sister Nivedita's 155th Birthday Celebration

In continuation with the year long celebrations of the 125th year of Sister Nivedita's arrival to India, Ramakrishna Sarada Mission Sister Nivedita Heritage museum and Knowledge Centre celebrated the 155th Birthday of Sister Nivedita on 28th October 2022.

Rev. Pravrajika Jnanadaprana Mataji, Asst. General Secretary, Sri Sarada Math & Ramakrishna Sarada Mission presided over the meeting and enriched the audience (School students & teachers around 550) with the inspiring presidential address.

Honourable chief guest,  Smt Nirupama Kotru, Joint Secretary & F.A, Ministry of Coal, Govt  of India graced the occasion and enriched the audience about Sister Nivedita's contribution towards Indian Art and Literature.

The other speakers - Pravrajika Bhaswaraprana, former principal, RKSM Vivekananda Vidyabhavan enlightened about Hindu Religion and Nivedita. Dr. Debanjan Sengupta, Physician and writer spoke about journalist Nivedita and Smt Nilanjana Dasgupta, Director (Child rights and trafficking), Govt of West Bengal, spoke about decision making and leadership quality following Sister Nivedita.

The function ended with a cultural programme, a medley of narration, vocal and instrumental music by the alumni of RKSM Sister Nivedita Girls' School.

Khichuri prasad was distributed among more than 800 audience, visitors of the museum and some blood donors of a nearby blood donation camp.
